About Raúl

I am Raúl Velázquez, ChFC®, a capital markets professional with over 30 years of industry experience.  I am the President and CEO of Velazquez Ventures LLC and the Senior Managing Director of two affiliate practices, Cenador Financial Advisers LLC and Cenador Capital LLC.

Velazquez Ventures LLC is a financial services consultancy that offers financial management services to small businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Cenador Financial Advisers LLC focuses on investment advisory services for individuals and small business owners.

Cenador Capital LLC evaluates alternative investment opportunities.

I earned an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business and a BA from Haverford College.  I also hold the designation of Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), awarded by The American College of Financial Services upon completing the required courses. The American College is an accredited private educational institution offering undergraduate and graduate training programs.

I am a member of the CFA Institute, the largest global association of investment professionals, and the CFA Society New York, a local member society of the Institute.

Following a broad-ranging career with major Wall Street financial institutions, I served as a college adjunct lecturer in economics and finance, a small business development trainer, a technical assistance provider, and a finance trainer.

With a passion for wealth accumulation and preservation within Latino and Black communities, I provided coaching and consulting for early-stage ventures, community-based organizations, and community development credit unions.
